Diving Ocean, Marine Biology
and Research in the Egyptian Red Sea
Diving Ocean, progressing with its involvement on upcoming projects of marine conservation and research in the Red Sea (particularly within the Samadai reef) will promote a series of initiatives to increase and develop with its divers a more ecological and environmental standpoint. Tropical Marine Biology introduction course lesson will be taught exclusively by a professional Marine Biologist operating inside the Diving Ocean diving center Marsa Alam. Each lesson is one hour, with text and visual support. Eco Diving Students will receive a book which incorporates the actual lesson and also information about general behavior required to explore such a delicate marine eco system.
Marine Biology Course
(PADI certified)
Diving Ocean organizes a practical PADI Marine Biology Course within their concept of Eco Diving. The Marine Biology Course in Marsa Alam includes two dives supervised by a biologist-instructor who, with underwater charts, will guide students to discover the most significant species of the Red Sea. Direct observation will allow divers to recognize and categorize live organisms living in those reefs. As well as practical activities, Marine Biology Course students will receive theoretical lessons to expand information acquired from eco diving, discussing best techniques to be applied while interacting with the marine environment, especially in the Red Sea.

The lessons will be supported by slide-shows, videos, pictures featuring basic players of Marine Biology (reef, fish, turtles, sea birds etc.). Besides, there will be opportunity to participate to some important PADI eco diving courses, and be certified as PADI "Fish Identification" and "Project Aware" specialist.
Study and research Trips
Diving Ocean, under supervision and co-operation with important research centers at local and international levels, will organize study-trips and research workshops for students of Marine Biology and Environmental Conservation. Courses will be diversified according to educational level and universities needs, and will include theoretical lessons and practical diving. As well as the incredible experience of participating in the monitoring of Spinner Dolphins (Stenelle Longirostris), and enjoying progress and results of one year research in the eco system of the Red Sea.
