Zanzibar Island (Tanzania) is located in the Indian Ocean, about 30 km from the East coast of the African continent. Zanzibar is extending over 85 km from north to south, and 43 km wide. It is characterised by beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town. Diving Ocean is located in Baobab Beach Bungalows resort around 55 km North of the international airport of Stone Town, in the area of Nungwi, the nicest spot on the northern tip of Zanzibar island.
Nungwi has a long wild sandy beach protected from the coral reef and is the ideal place to relax in the shade of a palm tree, under the equatorial sun, swimming in the transparent water of the lagoon in the middle of reef fishes. Low tide in Nungwi allows to enjoy the colors and life of the lagoon and does not create problems for boats to exit. It is for sure the best place for divers and non divers. The city of Nungwi offers good activities such as night life, watching the fishermen and the Dhow makers, and a very young and informal atmosphere.
